TABLETOP WIND TUNNEL
VERTICALLY INTEGRATED PROJECT

SOLIDWORKS | STEM Education | Technical Writing
August 2021 — May 2022

As part of the Mobile STEM Lab Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) through the Georgia Tech Research Institute, I built a portable, low-cost wind tunnel for campus outreach events, lab demonstrations, and children's museums. This project consists of creating a tabletop wind tunnel out of aluminum and publishing the manufacturing guide for schools and museums to use, as well as a low-cost foam version that can be created by anyone. These wind tunnels include visual smoke streamlines, sensors for aeronautical calculations, and insertions for demonstrations. The overall VIP focuses on increasing the accessibility of STEM education through the creation of DIY lab instrumentation, unique lab manuals, and demonstrations.

RAMBLIN' TURBOJETS MATLAB OPTIMIZER

MATLAB | Jet Propulsion | Technical Writing
March 2022 — April 2022

For my AE 4451 "Jet and Rocket Propulsion" class, our final project was to create a MATLAB code that can find the most efficient engine design with a given set of parameters. This code uses MATLAB's Optimization Toolbox to evaluate an engine's performance. This code can be used to solve future jet propulsion problems without having to manually compare.

TECH TOWER RUBIK'S CUBE

SOLIDWORKS | Engineering Drawing | Design Process
March 2021 — May 2021

My individual project in ME 1770 "Introduction to Engineering Graphics" was creating a functional Tech Tower Rubik's Cube. I took apart my own Rubik's Cube to figure out all the components, sketched out a rough design, and modeled the final assembly in SOLIDWORKS. I then 3D printed and painted the cube.

PLAYGROUND RV

SOLIDWORKS | Engineering Drawing | Teamwork
January 2021 — March 2021

My team's project in ME 1770 "Introduction to Engineering Graphics" was to create a project with at least 40 individual components, 10 sub-assemblies, and animations. Every component had to have an engineering and perspective drawing before modeling. We decided to create a playground RV and split the work between the 5 of us. We set personal deadlines through the semester to stay on schedule.

HABITAT FOR BOLIVIA

Public Speaking | Intercultural Awareness | Future Thinking
March 2021 — May 2021

I took MGT 3660 "Cross Cultural Management" in Spring 2020. For the final project, we were tasked to create a plan of action for Habitat for Humanity to expand into Bolivia. Our group researched not only the business barriers for entry, but the social and cultural ones as well. We ultimately came up with a plan for Habitat to partner with existing indigenous-run non-profits in the country and to build housing complexes with community parks to reduce domestic violence.

CAMPUS RECYCLING INITIATIVE

Problem Solving | Public Speaking | Sustainability
September 2020 — November 2020

As a part of Georgia Tech's Global Leadership Living Learning Community, we spent the fall semester creating a project that advances one of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. My group proposed a recycling initiative for Georgia Tech's East Campus and our proposal was showcased during International Education Week. This project helped me sharpen skills such as collaboration, graphic design, and video editing.

RAMBLING TECH'S BIKES

Website Development | Leadership | Initiative
June 2020 — August 2020

My freshman seminar final project was to create something that improves the Georgia Tech campus. My group proposed an improved bikeshare system centralized on campus with additional infrastructure to keep personal bikes safer. The project was presented in the format of a website using a logo I created.

SENIOR PROJECT

Organization | Time Management | Problem Solving
April 2020 — June 2020

I spent the last two months of high school creating a directory for the quiz bowl team. As Vice President of the club, myself and the other board members were all graduating, so I created a guidebook for the new officers, explaining how to register for competitions, hold practices, and conduct tryouts. In addition, I also compiled lists of practice questions, created forms, and organized past documentation.

THE EFFECTS OF MALNUTRITION ON THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT OF DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER

Data Analysis | Adobe Photoshop | Collaboration
September 2017 — April 2018

I researched the effects of caloric restriction on fruit flies by creating food with different caloric values and looking at the fly's gastrointestinal tract. I dissected approximately 200 flies and took pictures that I analyzed in Adobe Photoshop. The amount of blue dye in the gastrointestinal tract correlates to how damaged it is. This project is applicable in understanding the effect of starvation and eating disorders on humans.
